1. Agreement and who we are
These Terms are an agreement between you and Blueboot Apps, Grange Cottage, Grange Lane, York, YO23 3QZ, United Kingdom ("Blueboot Apps", "we", "us"). They apply when you access our websites or install, purchase or use one of our products.
By using a product, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Notice. A product page or checkout may provide additional product-specific information that also forms part of the agreement. If you act for an organisation, you confirm you have authority to accept these Terms for it.
2. Websites and product information
Our websites describe our studio and products. We take reasonable care over that information, but product features, compatibility, availability and roadmaps may change. Nothing on the websites is professional, legal or security advice.
3. Magpie UI
Magpie UI is a browser extension and related service that helps inspect webpage interfaces and generate implementation-oriented outputs. Features may include CSS, HTML, Tailwind, React, design-token and AI-assisted outputs, a local capture library and a detachable inspector.
Free and Pro features and allowances may evolve. We may improve, replace, add or retire features where reasonably necessary and will try to give reasonable notice if a material change adversely affects a paid service. You are responsible for a compatible browser and device and for keeping your licence key secure.
4. Purchase and payment
Magpie UI Pro is a one-time purchase that permanently unlocks its Pro features for the licence you receive. There is no subscription and nothing renews automatically. The price, currency, included taxes and any promotion shown at checkout form part of your purchase. Your purchase includes a starter allowance of AI credits, and you can buy additional AI credit packs from within the extension. AI credits do not expire; one credit is used for each successful hosted AI action, and a credit is only charged when the action succeeds.
Stripe processes payment on our behalf. You authorise Stripe and Blueboot Apps to charge the supplied payment method for your purchase and applicable taxes. We do not store complete payment-card details. If a payment fails or is reversed, paid access and any affected credit balance may be paused or withdrawn while Free features remain available.
5. Cooling-off rights and refunds
Because Magpie UI Pro is a one-time purchase, there is no recurring charge and nothing to cancel. Payments already made are non-refundable except where applicable law requires a refund, and AI credit purchases are likewise non-refundable once the credits have been added to your licence. For any purchase question, email support@bluebootapps.com from the checkout email address.
If you are a consumer, you may have statutory cancellation rights for a distance contract, potentially including a 14-day cooling-off period. Those rights may be affected where you expressly request immediate supply of a digital service or content, but only to the extent the law permits. Nothing here removes statutory rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.
6. Acceptable use
You must use our products lawfully. You must not:
- inspect, copy or process a website or content without permission or another lawful basis;
- infringe intellectual-property, privacy, confidentiality, contractual or other rights;
- introduce malware, obtain unauthorised access, disrupt a service or evade security controls;
- automate excessive requests, circumvent quotas or licensing, share a licence to evade plan limits, or interfere with a product's operation; or
- resell, sublicense or offer our software as a competing hosted service unless we agree in writing.
7. Ownership and your content
Blueboot Apps and its licensors retain rights in our software, branding, websites and services. Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive and non-transferable right to use the current product for its intended purpose.
You retain rights you already hold in content you submit. We claim no ownership of webpages you inspect. Using Magpie UI does not give you ownership of or permission to use third-party content, and generated output may remain subject to rights applying to its source. You grant us only the limited rights needed to process data you deliberately submit to provide the requested service.
8. AI-assisted features
AI output is probabilistic and may be incomplete, inaccurate, insecure or unsuitable for your codebase. You must review and test it before relying on or shipping it. Do not submit secrets, personal data, confidential material or content you are not authorised to process. AI availability and allowances may depend on third-party services and your plan.
9. Availability and liability
We aim to provide reliable products, but services may sometimes be unavailable or contain faults. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we do not promise uninterrupted availability or that every output will be accurate, complete, compatible or defect-free.
Nothing limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, obligations that cannot lawfully be limited, or statutory consumer rights. Subject to that, Blueboot Apps is not liable for indirect or consequential loss or loss of profit, revenue, business, opportunity, goodwill or data. Where the law permits a financial cap, our total liability arising from a paid product will not exceed the amount you paid for that product in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim.
10. Suspension and ending access
We may suspend or end access where reasonably necessary because of non-payment, material or repeated breach, unlawful or harmful use, a security risk or discontinuation of the service. Where reasonable, we will give notice and an opportunity to remedy a breach.
11. Changes, complaints and governing law
We may update these Terms for product, provider, security or legal changes. We will publish the revised version with a new effective date and provide reasonable notice of material changes where appropriate.
For support, complaints or cancellation, contact support@bluebootapps.com. These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales and its courts have jurisdiction, except that consumers retain mandatory protections and rights available under the law where they live.
If any part is unenforceable, the remainder continues. A delay in enforcing a right is not a waiver.
